Senior 2012

I got two friends to volunteer to let me take "senior" photographs of them to get the ball rolling for this year. They are such beautiful ladies and I am so grateful they let me take photos of them. We had such a fun afternoon in the muggy mountains and chased the sun when it decided to come out!

love these ladies and I will so miss working with them at starbucks!

Jose and April.

We were referred to this couple by a friend of ours and we are so grateful! These two are so fun and love to be silly. April is such a sweet loving person, and completely up for anything. Jose is very organized and pretty much is her total opposite which makes them perfect for each other I think. Jose loves to make movies, so we wanted to incorporate that into the session. These two love the vintage feel and we love it too! I loved making them laugh I must say.
These two have been through so much and deserve so much happiness together. Congrats you two! We hope, as always that they love how we captured them....

So looking forward to september and seeing these two even more in love in their big day! Keep a look out for their stop motion at the end of the week....

Jake and Brenda. ENGAGED!

A couple of weeks ago we went to meet Jake and Brenda in their hometown to schedule the engagement session and get to know each other. Right away we loved this couple. They were so fun and down to earth. They met out in the ministry and are both doing full time ministry service. This is a couple that you can just tell are best friends. As in they've known each other for long time and really know each other. They're past the "cookie" stage as Jake calls it and are into the "cupcake stage". I love couples that are best friends because thats how my husband and I are. We had a very similar story and I just loved that. They loved Syd to death, and didn't mind our teasing. We definitely became friends with these two!
Last week we shot their engagements, and had a blast! We went to Pasadena to their favorite cupcake place. From there we went to Griffith Observatory and just explored. I'm so glad we got to to to Griffith Observatory because it had everything they wanted, and I so hope they love their photographs as much as I do! I wanted so much to show their close relationship, and they're so cute they didn't need anything extra! I shot both film and digital because they were perfect for both. I'm so proud of this shoot. Here's our day, enjoy!

And of course a stop motion, HERE!!
We just can't help this is such a huge post because we love these two and these pictures so so much! Can't wait for their wedding in October....
